Full Description

Along the E edge of trench 1 a feature was seen cut into the limestone bedrock, 0.26m deep, at least 1.6m wide (probably 1.8m). The uniform nature of the fill suggests deliberate backfilling. Five sherds of Med pot were recovered from a 0.5m cutting across the feature. (1)
See L11030 - 11033 for other features and finds, L1238 for pottery found to N.
