Full Description

35 worked flints (from fieldwalking). Of the five tools, three are diagnostic late Neolithic, and the broad flakes would fit in with this. A small number of pieces may be from the early Neolithic and Mesolithic periods. One long end-scraper which is probably earlier rather than later. The (relatively thin) scatter of lithics … were not found on the darker strip marking the palaeochannel running N -S, suggesting this channel was contemporary with, or its infilling sealed the lithic scatter.
