Full Description

A small collection of grey ware sherds (recovered during fieldwalking), including three or four wide mouthed jars with everted or bead rims and a jar base with unusual multiple grooves around the base. The form suggests C3 to C4 date, supported by presence of a reeded hammerhead mortarium, probably Mancetter-Hartshill 240-350AD. (1)
See L11110/L11225 for IA/E Med pottery, L8339 for cropmarks, L11118 for flints, L11157 for Med pottery, L11182 for fire-cracked pebbles.
