Full Description
Romano-British pottery was discovered thinly scattered over the gravel island (fields 5400, 4982 and 1058). The few datable sherds may be mainly attributed to C1 and C2 but the sample is too small for firm conclusions on the date range of activities to be drawn. (1)
See L11206 for Mes flints and cross refs, L11207 for BA finds, L11209 for Med all from these fields. See L11213, L11214 and L11215 for more Ro pottery from fieldwalking.
