Full Description

Trench 09 - Several possible gullies were revealed … a complex series of cuts of varying depths. Ro pottery was recovered from three of the contexts. The approximately NE-SW gullies could indicate a long lived Ro boundary running parallel to the Fosse Way. They might have served to demarcate a road zone or could mark the W edge of a contemporary land parcel flanking the road. (1)
See L11302 for Ro pottery from SE side of road, L12285 for possible Ro features to W.
