Full Description

A total of 18 definite later medieval sherds were obtained from test pits, thinly scattered over the gravel 'island'. No pit produced more than 2 sherds, and the material, virtually all of which is abraded, seems most likely to derive from manuring. (1)
See L11209 and L11219 for Med pottery from fieldwalking in this area.
