Full Description

A second pipeline was laid parallel to the main line along Chapel Street (site 3). The excavation of this revealed a length of substantial walling running along the edge of the trench. This walling consisted of sandstone blocks in up to three courses. … possibility of return walls, seen in opposing section. No finds were made. It is clear there was a substantial structure at this point, possibly extending into the field S of Chapel Street. (1)
