Full Description
The artefacts recovered (from the two trenches) consisted mostly of glazed pottery with several pieces of metal (nails, a hook and a fragment of pewter). The topsoil in both trenches produced mostly C18-C19 pottery and clay-pipe fragments with some C20 pottery and glass. Trench one also had a clay-pipe stem dated to the C17-C18 from the ploughsoil.
