The upper (pit) fill contained a regionally important amount of mid C17 pottery … a carved bone gaming counter, two copper pins and a rim fragment of a copper alloy vessel. … The pottery includes at least seven early slipware dishes with trailed decoration, similar in size and decoration, may have been purchased as part of a set. The group also contains yellow ware, reduced glaze ware (including Cistercian) and a single residual or heirloom Langewehe German stoneware drinking jug. (1)
