Full Description

Two human skeletons approximately 0.7m below the ground surface. The grave pits of the two skeletons (were) seen in section and another was found, and a skull fragment rescued from the material already dug out for the footings. Each of the graves was orientated E-W, only 0.36m deep and approximately 1m apart. No grave goods and no evidence of coffins. Grave 1 and 2 are young adult males and grave 3 was of a child. They must have been buried at least 200 years ago and could be a result of the Civil War. (1)
Three human skeletons and an additional fragment of skull. Two adolescent males aged 16-17, and a child aged about 6. The skull fragment is from an adult. (2)
