Full Description

A rectilinear pit with near vertical sides and a flat base, had been cut from the top of the mixed earth deposit to just below the mortar layer (L11472). It was 0.9 x 0.55 (minimum) x 0.8m deep. The fill contained glass, clay pipe and pottery, all probably C19. (1)
