Full Description

Much of the lane overlay a course of unmortared bricks or brick rubble which seemed to have been an earlier surface, but a 4m N-S stretch of mortared bricks was observed between the two houses. The mortared foundation was 2 courses deep … probably late C18; a rim sherd of C18 blackware pot and a clay tobacco pipe stem fragment were found. (1)
