Description

Lindsey Archaeological Services was commissioned by Anglian Water Services to monitor part of the route of a replacement water main installed through the village of Dunham on Trent. The pipe was 0.09m diam., inserted into a narrow machine-dug trench cut slightly deeper than 1.05m through the surface of the village streets or the roadside verge. Parts of the route were installed using a 'moling' technique, where continuous trenches were not required. (1) Grid ref for W end, at Laneham Road. See E9194, E9195 for field observations.
