Full Description

A loose silty sand containing frequent mortar flecks and lumps and frequent tile fragments … tile fragments dated to between mid C14 and mid / late C15. All of the tiles are broken into large fragments with mortar adhering. They are flat nibbed roofing tiles. The fabrics are very similar and therefore possibly from the same source. (1)
