Full Description

Trench 1. 12 pieces of Roman pottery were found, 11 of which were greywares. None of the material is inconsistent with a C3 or C4 date. Distributed mainly towards the S end of the trench. This was in the area where the southernmost of the presumed Ro ditches was thought to lie. (1)
