Full Description

Trench 03 - in layer beneath rampart material, one sherd of medieval shell tempered pottery, one possibly Saxo Norman sherd in reduced sandy fabric. Trench 04 - one sherd glazed medieval pottery. Two features, neither produced finds. Trench 05 - medieval pottery, also a gulley V-shaped in section, 0.3m deep, oriented N-S, containing two sherds of medieval pottery and a fragment of roof tile.
