Full Description

Small assemblage of lithic material recovered during the archaeological investigation of East Leake Quarry. The composition of the assemblage suggests that there was some transient later Mesolithic to earlier Neolithic activity. Visitations certainly continued into the later Neolithic and early Bronze Age and there may even have been a small camp or activity area in the vicinity of Area 0 (sic). (1)
See M18370 for burnt mound, M18371 for IA settlement.
