Full Description

Fieldwalking noted a scatter of artefacts, mostly C19 - C20 potsherds and clay pipe stem fragments. One stem fragment bears relief decoration to either side comprising a row of diagonal bars 3mm apart with three raised dots between each pair. Probably from Nottingham, where quality pipes with decorated stems were made in C18. (1)
