Full Description

In Trench 1, a small undatable post hole. In Trench 2, a small oval pit, a 1m wide N-S aligned gully,and a broad N-S aligned ditch. In Trench 9, a narrow N-S aligned gully which cut a small oval pit and formed a T junction with an E-W aligned gully. In Trench 11, a small pit / post hole cut by large NE-SW ditch, a narrow N-S gully cut into the fill of the large ditch and a small stony pit cut into the gully. In Trench 12, a N-S aligned ditch / gully. (1)
See L12254 for similarly aligned features producing medieval pottery, with which most of these features are probably associated. See L12259 for undated pit in Trench 10.
