Full Description
E-W wall in red brick, with butress to S and footings off set by one course. Modern pit. Wall which had a 90 degree return, construction trench cut earlier pit, which was broad and flat bottomed and contained pantile and brick fragments. A further wall, grey lias stone with with offset headers to the N, up to four courses of brickwork in English bond. Construction trench contained poorly preserved Cu alloy coin, possibly Geo III penny. A thin layer of crushed mortar and plaster, formed from two coats. One side smoothed, other with reed impressions. Probably remains of wall or floor plaster. Rounded modern pit. (1)
