Description

Two trenches, each measuring 5x2m. Trench 1 positioned in an area marked burial ground, trench 2 to run parallel with the street frontage. A third trial pit measuring 1x1.5m was also excavated to test whether there was any indication of burials extending beyond a now demolished wall which was thought to represent the E boundary of the burial ground. (1) Grid ref for T3. See E9206 for nearby excavations.
