Full Description
Nave and aisles separated by circular [arcade] piers … the date is c 1200 or a little later. Next in date comes the N chapel … early C13. The chancel is C13 too, and so is the spire. Clerestory and nave roof C15. (1)
Arcades … date to the early part of the C13. The tower … comes next in date and is quickly followed by the … chancel, which was rebuilt … thirty or forty years ago [i.e. 1898-1908]. These date from the first half of the C14. In the C14 the old aisles were replaced by the present ones. The clerestory and the roof of the nave … was set up about the time of the Wars of the Roses. The font … dates from about 1350. (2)
