Full Description

Unaisled chancel of the late C14. C14 S arcade. A clerestory of different rhythm was added in the C15. Of the later C14 also the ashlar-built W tower of Bunny type. Porch added in 1693. Restored in 1855 and in 1877 by T. C. Hine. Pulpit: Jacobean. Monuments: several of the Sacheverell family, notably William d.1616 and wife. (1)
The present fabric does not carry us further back than the reign of Richard II. The chancel is the earliest in point of time [followed by] the nave and south aisle. Addition of a steeple [in] c.1420. A new roof and a clerestory was added in the reign of Henry VII. A porch was built in the Renaissance style [in] 1693. (2)
