Full Description

Frank Wilkinson established works at Chilwell in about 1872. Apparently the site was developed after the 1886 fire at the other factory in Beeston (M466). By 1892 the complex was very extensive and known as Hallcroft Works. By WW2 all but the Holly Mills part of the complex had been demolished. This part had a decorative frontage which was a less sophisticated version of the gothic one in Beeston. Demolished in the mid 1960s. (1)
