The only mound visible (SK 60113729) appears to be a long regularly-shaped spoil mound. No quarrying is evident in its immediate vicinity. (2)
Almost certainly disturbance associated with the small village of Gamston which is not a DMV. (3)
Remains of shrunken village of Gamston. Includes moat and ponds (M18237), platforms, house sites, springs, enclosures and ridge and furrow. Surveyed 1983 by NICE team. (4) (5)
The bulk of the remains will have been destroyed by the construction of the housing estate. The site is not recommended for scheduling. (9)
