Full Description
C15 W tower, said to have been altered in Elizabethan times. Interior mainly early C13. (1)
The chancel was built probably soon after 1200, but was much altered at some distant period. The N aisle was built [in] about the mid … C13th. Early in the C14th the arcades … were rebuilt, and the S aisle, if not at the same time, soon after. The tower was the last addition, late in the sixteenth century. (2)
The arcades … are Early English. In 1881, [restoration] work was done on the chancel. In 1884, the north and south walls of the aisles … were taken down and rebuilt from the foundations; new roof to nave and aisles; new porch on the south side. (3)

in 1994 8 (slice) samples were collected from 8 oak boards removed from St Wilfrid’s sometime previously during repair works. All 8 giving a felling date of 1624. (5)
