Full Description

Robbinetts Arm, branch canal on the Nottingham Canal, built 1796. This branch canal was 3/8 mile long. Disused. (1)
The only branch canal to survive to any extent is the Robinetts cut. It is now completely choked with reeds. The cut leaves the canal on the southern edge of the loop south of Cossall. This loop is caused by the canal following the contour. In order to maintain its level there is considerable embanking and this can be seen clearly where the canal crosses the fields. (2)
See M2289 for Nottingham Canal.
