Full Description

Originally a flour mill using wind power. Base of windmill 85ft high at S end of building, some sail timbers and other timbers incorporated in the present structure. This consists of 3 parts - old centre part joined to mill, pre 1850, flemish bond brickwork, consists of chimney and building 35ft x 30ft, 4 storeys. Old roof demolished and replaced. Ceiling supported by cast iron pillars. There was a private siding at side of mill. Along W side of mill ran Mansfield-Pinxton railway, stone sleepers re-used to make a wall. Building now a textile waste renovator (06/07/1964). (1)
