Full Description
AP unclear. 2 double linear features and other linear features. Possibly 2 enclosures. Double ring ditch marked on OS map ? (1)
These marks, in the main, are quite clearly of now destroyed field boundaries which are to be seen on the OS 6in 1956. A few other lines seem to be contemporary and probably indicate earlier field enlargement. A small, nearly square enclosure at SK 7789 4358 is flanked to the NW and SE by short stretches of irregular double ditches. Now one large expanse of level arable land bounded on the NW by the River Smite. Recently cleared of crop but nothing of interest seen. (2)
Morph: 219.6.1 unknown prehistoric field system. (3)
