2 kilns a few yards apart, one cut into rock face and fairly intact. Associated with a quarry. May have been the source of building material for Langwith Cotton Mill - c 1800. These kilns are not marked on large scale OS maps. One is just within forestry plantation. 03/01/1969. (1)

These two kilns are hewn out of the rock in corner of the quarry that juts out into NE corner of the new quarry site. One is c 19ft in diameter, now c 8ft deep and the other 9ft diameter now 4ft deep. They were probably in production c 1800. The site is labelled as a quarry on an early Bathurst estate map of about that date. (2)

Two lime kilns, dating to circa 1800, a few yards apart are set the rock face of a stone quarry. The quarry may have been the source of the building material for Langwith Cotton Mill and its associated cottages, and the long mill race which passes near the site. (3)
