LIMESTONE QUARRY (Georgian to Late 20th Century) Long abandoned limestone quarry associated with `Hills and Holes', a wide area of small workings and waste dumps. Lot appears to be the remains of a very busy lime-burning industry.

Long abandoned limestone quarry. Shallow with very extended face. Associated with "Hills and Holes", a wide area of small workings and waste dumps. Appears to be remains of a very busy lime burning industry (02/01/1969). (1)
