Group of cropmarks on either side of A1, N of North Muskham. Highly complex, extensive and interconnected - linear features run under road. An extensive site on arable land, bisected by the Great N Road and bounded on the E by an old river course, the Trent now flowing 100m further E... The small enclosures suggesting habitation are grouped mainly in the SE quadrant and are ranged along the old river bank. The entire area E of the road is under sugar beet, so perambulation was not possible. W of the road is all corn stubble and grass - no trace of features and no finds made. (8)
