Full Description

The West tower is slim and Early English in masonry and proportions. At the bell-stage are two light windows of c.1300. The ground-floor window is perpendicular; so are the south porch and chancel east window. But the south doorway is Early English although the sculptured heads to left and right must be C15th. The south window looks redone C17th or C18th. Of the nave arcades the north is of c.1300, the south C15th, both with octagonal piers and double-chamfered arches. Font is Norman with curiously cusped arches on short shafts. Chancel wall monuments to the Eyre family. (1)
