Full Description
Ro pottery and coins from c 80-400 AD, found in quantity with wells and timber buildings. IA pottery and a Swarling type brooch found. Possible road shown SK 7362 9208 to SK 7377 9166. (1)
Quantities of Ro objects and a few IA finds (pottery, loom weight and a Swarling type brooch, AD 25- 50) have been recovered over a number of years from the brickyard (now disused) at Gringley on the Hill. (2)
The brick works in which this occupational material was found is now disused and overgrown - no Ro material was found in the modern debris but a selection of the original finds are in DOM. (3)
