Thompson's Grave dated 1784. (1)
Monument named. (2)
A low wall in local stone with iron gates, within the wall are several trees surrounding the monument, The ground was specially consecrated for the burial of Thompson who had been a local philanthropist, his burial arrangements were stipulated in his will along with several charitable donations. The plaque was replaced during the 1990’s by Mansfield District Council. Added to MDC Local List on 01.05.2004. (3)
