Full Description
Mounds opposite the Hall at Shelton. (1)
The above note probably refers to the area of disturbance ranged along the SE side of the village street, in parkland, at SK 7805 4455. This is typical village contraction. (2) Boundary bank at the side of the garden on the N-E side of the field. Ridge and furrow in the eastern half. Large hollow with a suggestion of terracing in front of the church. At the western end of the field is a massive raised terraced area, with a hollowed area to the west and a pond to the south. (3)
See M1600 for ice house, M1593 for church
