Full Description

Newbound Mill (corn). Complex of buildings shown. (1)
In 1773 the miller was Timothy Newbound. The tailrace of this mill lies in Mansfield, the mill in Teversal . It is shown on the 1898 OS map as "Corn Mill", and in 1917 only the mill pond, weir and race are indicated (but see above - VB). Documentary evidence from 1086 to 1883. (2)
On Chapman's map, 1774. (3)
The mill is the low, square building on the south of the farmstead. One storey of stone survives with the top rebuilt in brick. The site of the wheel is just traceable on the inside west wall. Currently in use as a cart shed. (4)
