Full Description
In 1630 the Earl of Newcastle let Sookholme watermill to Thomas Willeys. William Clay had the overshot water corn mill in 1652. Repairs by millwright Willaim Shirtcliff listed in 1776. Last mention was in 1821. (1)
Site of a water-powered corn mill demolished in 1840 and replaced by Mill Farm. Said to have been of a primitive type. (2)
