Full Description

Gedling House … [is] very like Bridgford Hill … at East Bridgford. The same plans may have been used. (1)
Named building. (2)
House. c.1820 and mid C19. (3)
The Hill was "built in 1792. The Rev. Thomas Beaumont … designed [it] with the help of [James] Paine jun" (4). It seems likely from (1) that Gedling House is broadly contemporary, so a date of c.1792 is more likely than c.1820. The Parks & Gardens file gives a date of c.1796, but there is no supporting evidence. (5)
See M10086 for The Hill, East Bridgford.
