Full Description

Barn, integral cottage [and] adjoining outbuilding. Early C17, late C18, late C19. (1)
This barn probably dates from the C16. Originally of at least 6 bays and was wholly or partly of timber-framed construction. A threshing floor was located in one of central bays. It is possible that the lower walls were always of stone. In the late C17 one end of the barn was converted into a cottage. The building was cased in stone in different phases, and in the C19 a small domestic wing was added to the cottage. (2)
