Named 'Broom Close'. (2)
Depicted as 'Birch's House' and 'His Stables'. (3)
Farmstead arranged around a yard consisting of following: 1. Red brick stable with gabled slate roof and timber ventilation slits. 2. Rubble stone farmhouse with gabled slate roof and modern casement windows. Set of large sculpted ashlar heads in the garden possibly of 18th century date in a classical style . 3. Stone and brick stable with pantile single pitch roof. Farm owned by Duke of Portland in the 1800's, reputedly used by the Dragoon Guards as temporary barracks in the 1830's. (4)
