Named 'Westfield House'. (1)
Farmstead arranged around a yard consisting of following: 1. Stone cowhouse with gabled modern tile roof and fixed casements in segmental headed openings, also has simple breathers. 2. Stone and red brick pigsty with gabled pantile roof and pig pen type doors. 3. Stone and red brick granary with gabled pantile roof and kneelers. 4. Stone and red brick barn and stable range with modern tile gabled roof and casement windows and tall segmental arch over door, also has slit breathers. 5. Stone farmhouse with gabled stone tile roof, modern windows and kneelers. A date stone found in barn foundation said 174?. (2)
Built of local coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and a stone slate roof. Gable parapets with kneelers. "L" shaped plan with lean-to rear outshoot. Elevation to front garden not surveyed. Side (entrance side) elevation has lean-to projection with central gabled porch. To the first floor are three windows with hood moulds. Projecting to the right is the side gable of the front wing, featuring an external ashlar chimney breast with a garden seat at ground floor. Barn and stables in a courtyard arrangement, of coursed local limestone with concrete tile roofs. Third side of courtyard has been demolished leaving an 'L' shaped arrangement. Barn front elevation has two threshing openings beneath segmental arches. The left-hand opening has been partly bricked up but the right opening retains timber double doors on hinge stones. Rear elevation is obscured by a modern building. Attached to left stables have doors and windows with segmental heads. The end gable contains a central door with a segmental head, flanked by windows with concrete lintels. To left - an ashlar gate pier with cap. Added to MDC Local List on 13/06/2006 (3)
