Full Description

A post medieval well was discovered to the N of Park House. The well measured 6.7m in depth with an internal diameter of 0.84m and an external diameter of 1.38m. The well was lined with roughly worked stone and infrequent bricks. Seven large worked stones were visible around the top of the well. The width of these varied from 0.17m to 0.34m. The well had been capped and was discovered beneath 0.36m of modern overburden. (1)
