Full Description

Anomalous zones identified as possible shallow workings or bell pits. (1)
Made ground was encountered to the full depth of 2.9m ... probably a backfilled former bell pit associated with ancient coal extraction activities in the area. (2)
Light toned discreet mounds, former bell pits. 10 features, greater than 30m in diameter. Also dark toned bands of soil indicative of coal seam exposure or spreading of spoil. (3)
