Full Description

Nos. 22-26, Baker Street are a group of two- and three-storey dwellings with ground-floor shop fronts, dating from the mid- to late 19th century; they are also considered to be of local historic interest, as is the adjoining no. 28, which is of mid-19th-century date but has an inserted modern shop front.

The buildings of 22-26 Baker Street were poorly preserved, having lost most of their primary fixtures and fittings, they largely retain their external massing and appearance. They have been built using quality materials to an exact design of some architectural merit, and as such present a typical example of a pair of commercial properties of their period.
