Full Description

House and park shown on Chapman's map of 1774. Throsby says "The present building is erected on a sloping ground, with a fine lawn in front of about 30 acres of land. There is a delightful walk, which encircles it ... The Chesterfield Canal, which takes a winding course of 2 miles, through this estate is not the least of the beauties here". The Hall was demolished in 1960. Lodges, stables, bridge over canal, icehouse, garden wall and gates and gardener's cottage all listed grade II. (1)
See M17175 for Wiseton Hall.
