Full Description

Present Day Today the park is divided into areas based upon the original design of the park. These areas include; rose gardens, play area, games area for football, basketball and tennis, pavilion, performance area, Bowling Green, wild flower meadow, orchard and parkland lawns. In 2011 the park had a new war memorial erected this was funded through Help for Heroes, this is situated to the bottom end of the park and within the old performance area at the pedestrian entrance of Bath Lane. More recently Carr Bank Park has benefited from the erection of a Bandstand which is located within the centre of the park. It is hoped that the Bandstand will attract local bands of all descriptions to provide entertainment within the park. The bandstand was completed in March 2012, with an official Grand Opening Event on Sunday 13 May 2012. Please contact us for information regarding hire of the bandstand. Locally listas by MDC as "Carr Bank Park -including pavillion, stable block, pet cemetary, war memorial and memorial." (1)
