Full Description

Eastwood Hall. House with grounds and large pond shown on Sanderson's map of 1835. Now British Coal regional office. Pond and other features survive. The Hall of 1810 is listed grade II. (1)
The beautiful lake is thought to have drained away through a natural fault. There had also been a walled garden with glasshouses, an orchard with pear and damson trees, an aviary where pheasants were reared and two fishponds located in the grounds near Cocker House Lane. (3)
