Full Description
Hall and large park are shown on Chapman's map of 1774, Nuthall Temple with grounds and lake on Sanderson 1835. Throsby says "facing this dwelling is a spacious paddock with but little of field embellishments … The woody scenery on the right and left of the temple, although apparently somewhat formal at a distance, possess a pleasing diversity". The house was demolished in 1926, a summerhouse (listed grade II*), ornamental bridge on the lake (grade II) and a gatepier (grade II) survive. (1)
