Full Description

Gedling House appears on G Sanderson's map of 1835, with grounds and outbuildings. The house, of about 1820 with later work, is listed grade II. (1)
House completed c 1796, gardens improved shortly afterwards. Entry from Abigail Gawthorne's diary 1806 "We dined at Mr Elliot's at Gedling, they have much improved the house and grounds." There is a C19 walled garden, tree lined drive, specimen woodland and ha-ha. (2)
